We drove to the North Shore today - it puts the garden in the Garden Isle. Did some geocaches along the way.
Gassed at our favorite island spot: Costco. Picked up some Hawaiian Starbucks gift cards (no Hawaiian Christmas gift cards this year - I e-mailed Starbucks to verify! What a disappointment.)

After seeing the Kilauea Light House we had a nice pizza and a great salad at Kilauea Bakery and Pau Hana Pizza.
At Limahi Beach watched boys boogie board the amazingly rough surf.
Returned just in time for sunset. Had a late dinner at the Beach House (next to the condo).

Kilauea River

We had to ford the river to get to a geocache and the pools of Mokelea. We found the cache, but the surf was to rough to go to the pools.

Tonight we had dinner at the Beach House next to the condo where we take the sunset pictures.
